Level 3 First Aid at Work (FAW) - Refresher

This course is designed for anyone wanting to maintain their skills as a first aider or appointed person in a higher risk environment for the purposes of meeting first aid in the workplace requirements, in accordance with the ‘Health & Safety (first aid) Regulations 1981’

To attend this course, you must have completed our First Aid at Work (FAW) course within the past 3 years (at the time of taking the course)

This is course is a refresher for the FAW course and not an upgrade from the 1 Day Emergency First Aid at Work course (EFAW)

12 Hours (2 Days)

• The Role and Responsibilities of a First Aider
• Patient Assessment
• The Unconscious Casualty
• The Casualty who is Not Breathing (CPR & AED)
• The Choking Casualty
• The Casualty who is experiencing a Seizure
• Bleeding and Wound Management
• Managing a casualty who is in shock
• Secondary Survey
• Stroke
• Heart Attacks and Angina
• Minor injuries
• Injuries to Bones, Muscles and Joints
• Suspected Head and Spinal injuries
• Suspected Chest injuries
• Burns and Scalds
• Eye injuries
• Poisoning
• Anaphylaxis
• Suspected Major Illnesses

Includes:

• Training consumables & materials
• e-Certificate - Valid and checkable for 3 years
• First Aid Manual (to keep)
